Bread Upma

Bread upma is healthier break fast or dinner. It can be made with any kind bread. Even multi grain bread also can be used. For this recipe i used Whole wheat bread

Bread             4 slices

Onion            1 medium size

Tomato         1 small

Ginger           1 tsp

Green chilli    2 Nos

Chilli powder  1/4 tbsp

Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp

Channa Dal     1/2 tbsp

Urad Dal         1/2 tbsp

Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp

Curry Leaves  few

Coriander leaves for garnish

Salt to taste

Cut down the brown part of the bread and slice the bread into small pieces.

Heat oil in pan add mustard seeds,curry leaves. Once splutters add urad dal,channa dal and ginger. Cook for few minutes. Add Green chilli and onion cook till onion translucent.

Add tomato ,turmeric powder , chilli powder and salt cook for few minutes.

Add 1/2 cup of water and bread slices mix well. Once the water is absorbed garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
