Chow Chow Chutney





Chow Chow chopped   1 cup

Toor Dal                       1 tbsp

Channa Dal                   1 tbsp

Red chilli                       4 Nos

Mustard seeds              1 tsp

Tamarind   small size

Salt to taste


Dry roast Toor Dal , Channa Dal and red chilli separately and kept it aside.

Dry roast the chow chow until it becomes soft and let it cool.

Once it get cool , take the roasted ingredients and tamarind in a blender and blend it well.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. Once it splutter and the blended mixture into it and fry for some time.

You can omit the above step and use it as such.

Its a good combination with the white rice and ghee and side dish for idli or dosa.
