Ragi Idly


The healthy ragi idly can be made in 2 ways. We can either use Ragi grain or ragi flour. Here i used ragi flour.



Ragi Flour            1 cup

Idly rice              1 cup

Urad Dal            1/2 cup

Fenugreek seeds  1/2 tsp



Wash and Soak Rice and urad dal for 5 -6 hours.

Grind the Rice ,Urad Dal and Fenugreek seeds as fine paste . Now add ragi flour and mix well.

Ferment for 8- hours.

Grease the Idli mould , pour the fermented batter and cook for 12 - 20 minutes.

Serve hot with the chutney or sambar.

Sending this to event lets cook healthy breakfast

Note:

 The same batter can be used to make Ragi dosa.
