Methi leaves Pulao


I was in a hurry to go my DR appointment today. So i thought to do simple lunch and in my fridge i had a methi leaves too.So methi leaves pulao came into my mind.It is simple one pot meal and doesn't required much ingredients.




Basmati Rice          11/2 cup

Methi leaves           1 bunch

Frozen Green peas 1/2 cup

Green chilli             4-5 Nos

Onion                   1 No medium

Tomato                1 small

Ginger Garlic paste 2 tbsp

Cinnamon            2 nos

Clove                  2 Nos

Cardamom         1 No


Wash and Soak Basmati rice in water for 20 minutes.

Take the leaves out from the stem , wash and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cinnamon ,clove and cardamom. Once splutters add ginger garlic paste and cook until raw smell goes.

Now add onion , green chilli and till it translucent.

Now add tomato, methi leaves,green peas,salt and required amount of water. Once water boils add rice and close the cooker. Cook for 3 hisses.

Once pressure went serve hot with raita.
