Rava Kichadi

Rava                        1 cup

Onion                      1 medium

Tomato                    1 No

Green chilli               3-4 Nos

Carrot                    1 no

Beans                    1/2 cup

Ginger chopped     2 tsp

Garlic crushed       3 -4 Pods

Turmeric powder   1/4 tsp

Water                   3 cups

Salt to taste

To  Temper

Mustard Seeds         1 tsp

Clove                      2 Nos

Cardamon               1 No

Cinnamon               2 nos

Curry Leaves

Dry roast the rava until nice aroma comes and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan,add items under To temper .Once spices splutter , add chopped ginger and crushed garlic.

Fry till it get cooked. Add onion and cook till they translucent.

Now add carrot ,beans,turmeric powder,Green chilli and some salt. Cook till the vegetables half cooked.

Now add 3 cups of water and required amount of salt,allow it to boil.

Once water started boils, turn the heat to low flame. Add rava slowly and stir continuously.

Cover it and cook until the rava gets cooked.

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
