Green Peas masala

Green peas masala is simple and easy to prepare dish.When you want to cook with the less ingredients and having frozen green peas this is the perfect dish.


Green Peas                  1 cup

Onion                          1 No

Tomato                       1 No

Ginger Garlic paste    1 tbsp

Green Chilli                2-3 Nos

Chilli Powder             1 tsp

Garam Masala           1/4 tsp

Cashew                     5 -6 Nos

Curd/yogurt              1 tbsp

Cream/Milk            1/4 cup

To Temper

Cinnamon             1 inch

clove                     2-3 Nos

Cumin seeds        1/4 tsp


Soak cashew in hot water for 10 minutes and paste it along with curd.

Heat a tsp oil in a pan, add onion,tomato and green chilli and saute well.Cool down and grind it to a smooth paste.

Heat oil in pan add item under 'To Temper' and once splutter , add ginger garlic paste and saute well.

And then add onion paste and saute for 2 - 3 Minutes. Add chilli powder,garam masala and required amount of salt.

Add a some water and let it boil for few minutes.Add cashew paste and mix well.

Now add green peas (i used frozen) and let it cook for 4 -5 minutes.Now add cream and give a quick stir.

Add coriander leaves and  switch off the flame.

Serve it with Chappathi or Pulka.


If using fresh green peas pressure cook it before adding to gravy.
