Kondakadalai Sundal | Channa Sundal| Vinayaga Chathurthi Special


This month for Friendship 5 series we going to post under the theme of "Festive recipes". Lot of festive going to start.So this the right time to post festive recipes.We used to make Kondakadalai Sundal during Vinayaga Chathurthi and Navratri.But me and hubby always used to have this a snack once in a week. Channa is high in protein and fiber. So it is very  healthy snack recipe for kids.






Ingredients

Channa                1/2 cup

Coconut grated    1 tbsp

Mustard seeds      1 tsp

Red Chilli            2 Nos

Hing                   a pinch

Curry Leaves     1 spring

Method

Wash and soak channa dal for overnight or at least 8 hour.

Pressure cook the channa dal with salt and water for 4 -5 hisses.The water should just immerse channa.Drain the excess water.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds,once splutter add red chilli,hing and curry leaves one by on one.

Add cooked channa and mix well.Cook til water evaporates.Now add grated coconut and mix well
