Maida Biscuits | Sweet Diamond cut Biscuits | Easy Diwali Snakcs


Maida biscuits are easy snack recipe for Diwali.After posting two sweet recipe , i want to savory recipe but already posted savory version of  Diamond Cut Biscuit  using whole wheat flour. So i posting a sweet version. These munch on quite addictive and you can't stop munching.


Maida Biscuits


Ingredients

Maida / All purpose Flour                      1 Cup

Powdered Sugar                                      1/2 Cup

Salt                                                          a pinch

Hot Oil /Melted Ghee                             3 tbsp

Oil for deep frying

Method


In a mixing bowl , add maida ,powdered sugar and salt combine well. Now add oil/ghee and mix well.

Add water little by little and form a stiff and pilable dough.Knead well for about 5 -8 minutes.

Cover with clean kitchen towel and rest the dough for an hour.

After an hour dive the dough two equal portion.

Roll the dough into a circle using rolling pin. Then cut the circle into diamond or square.

Heat oil for deep frying.Once oil hot put diamonds into oil and cook on both sides.This will take about 3 -5 minutes. Cook in a medium flame.

Take out and please in paper towel and remove excess oil. Store in air tight container.
